field duplication

Please note that this for LiveCycle Designer 8.
 
I have copied/pasted several objects from page one to page two of a form. The intention was that the input into these fields willl be duplicated to the identical fields on page. Although these fields have identical names, the duplication of the inputs doesn't happen. What am I missing. Thx

You'll need to set the "Object palette > Binding tab > Default Binding property" to "Global". If a set of objects has the same name and they all have global bindings, they will all have the same value (i.e. enter "asdf" in one of them and "asdf" will appear in all of them). Otherwise, though they have the same name, they behave as different objects differentiated either by occurrence numbers ("[x]" in the Hierarchy palette) and/or scopes (i.e. different page subforms).
