Form created in Pro v8 not working with Reader v6

A form which was created in Acrobat 8 Professional has a button, control type = submit, that emails the form as an attachment to specific users. It works fine with Reader v7, but when a user that has Reader v6 clicks the button nothing at all happens.

Are there some settings or steps I've missed that will allow this function to work in v6?

Thanks.

You need to tell your users that they need at least Reader 7 to use the form. I don't believe it works in 6.

Acrobat is probably the program I use most often and I'm learning more every day.

If the form is created in Acrobat 8.1 Professional using Acrobat Forms Tool, not LiveCycle Designer, and the Extended Reader Rights are enabled, then users with Reader version 5.0.5 or above should be able to mail the form and users with Reader version 6 or above can save the filled in form.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Due to the office environment where I work, users are not permitted to perform upgrades.

The form was created from a Word document, the fields and buttons were added using LiveCycle, and then I enabled extended rights. Can all the fields and buttons be added using Forms Tool? I've just recently begun working with Adobe and thought LiveCycle was the way you had to do it. Is it something new to verstion 8?
