Form creater vs. form manager

Hi,

I created a form that is meant to go out to several individuals at our place of work for approval.

I use Acrobat Pro and create the form a Word doc in LiveCycle Designer ES and the manager uses Acrobat Standard to open the form, enter some intermediate information, save it, and send it to the users.

If a user opens the form in Reader, he can't save the form, therefore he can't send it back to the manager with the changes in it. I know this is not a high-tech approach to the issue, but that's what we do right now.

I have tested Distributing the form and then emailing it to myself When I download the form and open it in Reader, I can then save the form with changes. The problem is, I don't manage the distribution of the form nor the responses.

Is there a way that I can enforce the ability of Reader users to be able to save the file, even if the manager is the one sending (distributing) the forms to users via Acrobat Standard and receiving the responses?

Thanks!

You need to apply the Usage Rights for Reader to enable the save feature.
You can do this with Acrobat under "Advanced" > "Extend Features in Adobe Reader...".
