Hello there
I haven't bought software yet, because I'm trying to figure out what to buy.
Problem: (Hope I explain the problem clearly)
I design graphics that people can personalise themselves in downloadable jpg and png format. However, many potential customers do not have graphics programs and I would like to put the illustrated graphics in pdf format with e.g. (as a very basic example) the text field/box saying : birthday boy's name here (for a birthday card to be personalised. Text must be just highlighted and e.g. "Johnny " printed over. I do not know if font size is an option?)
The image must be importable from say photoshop, in design or illutrator. So NOT created in the PDF doc. And the text field/box must remain on top of the graphic template,
The quality of the graphics must remain high as for my jpgs/pngs (300dpi). I would like to put the crafts in pdf download "e-book" format and/or make it do-able on my site and just printed out?
I know graphics programs but almost nothing about pdfs so I am in the dark here. I have seen applications exactly like what I want to create, but am at my wit's end figuring the how to!!
It won't help getting a trial version until I know what to do when I get it and if I have the right version of your software. (suggestions?)
And I can't buy until I know I can do it, but will buy the moment I see the light -been struggling for ages.

Text fields created in Acrobat can be set up so that the user can change the font, text size, color, bolding. etc. To create such a field in Acrobat, you'd use the Text Field Tool, and on the Options tab of the Field Properties dialog, select "Allow Rich Text Formatting". The (Reader) user would then enter text and modify it using the "Properties Bar", which may not normally be displayed.
Also, form fields are on a layer above the regular page contents, such as your image, so they should give you what you're after.
