Hello all I am new to this site and the art of designing forms. I have created a form that allows a user to enter test data into required fields. I would like to prevent them from printing the document until all the required fileds are completed. I found a piece of script that was added prePrint...this works great on my machine and the full version of Acrobat 8 Professional but fails on reader. Any insight or help would be tremendous, thank you.

Is it the difference and abilities of Acrobat vs. Reader?

Yes. see the JavaScript for Acrobat documention for Acrobat since the restrictions for Acrobat JavaScript apply to LiveCycle Desinger FormCalc and JavaScript, although there are differences in the syntax. You will need to pay attention to the Quick Bars to identify the properties and methods avaialable to Reader. There will also be text describing the additions and changes by version of Acrobat/Reader.

Thank you for the quickness in your reply. I will have to look into that, I have found out that if the version of reader isn't 8.0 or higher then the the symptoms I described will happen. If the user updates to the higher rev, it works.
