The only thing I can see to do is to place a button over an image and set the fill of the button to none then set the vertical placement of the button caption to be on the bottom. You could even group the image and button together only to make sure when moving the button to a new location that the group is selected and not just the button part of the group.
I was looking for this kind of thing a while ago hoping it would work like Acrobat buttons but couldn't find any way to accomplish it.
