InDesign to Designer

Our client created a PDF with InDesign (Mac), but when we try to open it with Designer (PC) it attempts to convert it - resulting in an unworkable file (images are missing, barcodes are replaced with graphics, images cut into smaller pieces, etc., etc.).
 
Is there a way to get a PDf from InDesign to Designer without any corruption?

If you're using LC Designer 8.0 or later, you should try saving your InDesign file as a PDF and then importing that PDF into Designer as "artwork" rather than a "flowable layout".

Open your InDesign PDF in Designer and at the "Import Options" dialog, choose the first option labeled, "Create an Interactive Form with Fixed Pages".

This feature will preserve your original PDF layout and overlay any detected fields on top of it rather than attempt to convert everything into XFA objects. You can then add, modify or remove any overlaid fields as you please.
