Initial View

After I complete a PDF in Designer, I need to set the initial view.

I can't find out how to do it in Designer, so I open it in Acrobat Pro and remove security.

Sometimes the initial view input is enabled. Sometimes it's not. There seems to be no logic to it. In my latest PDF I haven't been able to control the initial view at all.

Any idea what's going on?

What is an initial view input?

If you go to Document Properties in Acrobat 8, there is an Initial View panel which accepts input for determining the users initial view of the PDF document.

It's quite important to what I'm doing, and I can't figure out how to get it to accept my input. It seems to be inoperable even after I remove security.

You can do it in LiveCycle Designer. Accessing the Acrobat Doc Object in LiveCycle Designer by Chris Dahl. You will have to set the view properties like "layout", "pageNum", and the "zoom" or "zoomType" properties.

Where do I find the view properties, and where do I put the script?
