Issue with submitted forms and fields not appearing

What event in the script editor did you use for scripting to make the hidden text field in/visible?
And, what's the code you used for?

I used an example I found online for the script that did exactly what I needed and fixed it up to include all the entries I was going to use.

Sorry, but I can't follow you.
The script is uncomplete and shows a bug.
The code line
<?templateDesigner StyleID aped2?>
appears too often.
This may cause a crash of Designer.
The line sould be there only once!

The second thing is, that I don't recognize the structure of your form.
As I could reproduce there is a dropdown list "mlalisting1" and a text field "TextField5".
Then I read something of "Row2".
This is a subform, text field or a table...?
How are this elements arranged with each other?

Thenm you use a JavaScript
Row2.text.value.text.value = this.rawValue;
to change the text value of Row2.
What's the role of "TextField5" in this case?
I don't see something that controls it's visibility.

Hi Radzmar,

Apologies for the incomplete script. It is indeed a table, and the correct script is attached below. I hope this is enough. I did notice that when I tried to start a new form and from the design view copy-paste the table it wasn't working correctly and the drop down menu list was not working at all.

I could send the complete form if you wish. I have had people try it out and send it back to me so I know the drop down menu works in my form, but its the second row that keeps coming back blank although everyone that has tested the form has been able to make a choice. When I click the drop down menu on the completed forms the 2nd row becomes visible again with their choice.

as I could reproduce, your form has a drop down list with hidden data values you want to assign to the text value of a text.
Both, the dropdown and the text, are placed in a table.
I made a change of this method.

1. I deleted the table and put both field into a single subform.
2. I changed the tet to a textfield
3. I placed a calculation script to the text field
$.rawValue = mlalisting1.rawValue
Now the textfield shows the hidden value of your dropdown matching to the choosen value.
