Jetform 5.5 template

Hi all,

I am trying to convert a jetform 5.5 template to 8.2 ALC Designer template

-Can this be done at all?
-Where does Preamble goes in 8.2 Designer
-When I open IFD by 8.2 designer it gives options like Sync like named fields as global, Import fields only, Do not log etc.

In all how do I go about it? Any help would be highly appreciated.

According to the Help files, to import Output Designer files (IFD) into LiveCycle Designer ES, you must install Output Designer 5.4, 5.5, or 5.6 on the same computer as LiveCycle Designer ES.

Hi Ikassuba,

Yes I have Output Designer 5.5 installed on the same machine.

I open the ifd by Designer 8.2, and I can see subforms listed in Hierarchy and in referenced objects. I also build a new data connection and supply sample xml and thats where I hit the wall.

How to generate PDF ? Would the ifd compiled to give a mdf(Like in designer 5.5)

I haven't converted Ouput files to Designer but when you save your form it should be in PDF format. If you want to save as an XML form, select the pull-down from the "Save as Type" menu and you'll see options for:
- Static PDF
- Dynamic PDF
- XML (XDP)
- Designer Template (TDS)
