Is there a way to add a blank to a list item in a "drop-down list" show blank?

Hi thornhillt,

See this article on handling dropdown lists at JavaScript Corner (example files included for download and examination)-

The example files show a small dash used for no selection- I don't think a completely empty option is possible.

I can use the - as part of the list but it will not let me select that as the default setting.
