LiveCycle date/time field question

Answered

I have a form in LiveCycle. I have check in and check out date fields and I am using the date/time field with the drop down calendar.

I see the calendar defaults to the current month/date when first opened.

Is it possible for the calendar default to another month in the future, say, October 1st, when it is opened for the first time?

Thank you for your time.

Yes,

there is a field where you can type in a default value for the date field in the object tab.

Thank you for your quick response. I am guessing that would be the Value tab? If so, I tried that. I must not be entering the date correctly

Value tab is correct ...
The way the date looks like can be controlled by a pattern in the field tab.

Again, thank you. You have been a great help. One more thing. When I preview the form, the right date pops up in the text field (10/1/2010), but the pull down calendar is still defaulting to July 19th when I open it.

Is there no way for the calendar to default to October 1? Forgive me if I am misunderstanding you.

Sorry, I could not reproduce this behavior.
My calender jumps to the default date I placed under the value tab.

I think this can be different on other OS than Win7.

Thank you. You were a great help...I got it to work. I forgot I had some FormCalc script in my script window that was preventing your solution from happening.

Thanks again.
