My school purchased this program so that I could electronically produce a massive registration packet and send via email and have returned via email as well. I have been trying for 3 days to make this work and have had no luck!
I have a form that was created in word and then imported using the wizard function. I then wanted the form to be distributed via email and allow the recipients to complete the registration information and for them to click the return via email button to send back to me. I also want the information to sort into the various text fields into excel.
Instead the form came back in xml fields, not sorted into excel.
If I cannot get the form to sort into fields, I would at least like the email recipient to be able to complete the form and return via email to me and look the same way it did when initally sent.
Is this possible? Is the xml part of the problem? If so, how to correct?
I am a new user and have only had minimal training though an outside company.
Please help, I am desperate to get this up and running-time sensitive registration information!!
Thank you , Natalee
I'm no expert with the collection of data into a spreadsheet so I'm hoping someone who is will jump in. Until then, have you tried the steps described in the Help:
Quick Start Tutorials > Creating an office function survey form > Collecting the data in a spreadsheetBased on this information, you do want the data to be email back to you in XML format so you can collect these files in Acrobat.
If you still want the returned form to look the same way it did when initially sent then you will need to create your own email button and set the submit type to PDF.
1. Add a Button object on your form.
2. Select the Button, go to the Object palette's Field tab, select the 'Submit' control type.
3. Click on the Submit tab of the Object palette.
4. In the Submit As drop-down list, select PDF.
5. In the Submit to URL, type your email address using the mailto: protocol e.g. mailto: myemail [at] here [dot] comHere are some useful Help topics:
