LiveCycle Forms - Text Touch-up Tool

I have an order form that I created in InDesign, then made interactive (with fields and a submit button) in LiveDesign. My form has some simple inventory numbers on it, that I want to be able to go in and manually update.

When I open my form in Adobe Reader (8.0 Professional), and select Tools--Advanced Editing--TouchUp Text Tool, it loads the system fonts (as usual), lets me select the area of text and creates a box around it (as usual), but then it will not let me change the text. I can highlight it, place my cursor in it, everything that makes it look like I can edit it... but I can't actually edit it.

Without having to go all the way back for editing into InDesign - then LiveCycle - then Reader, is there any way to easily edit the text in a form created in LiveCycle - either in the Reader stage or LiveCycle stage? I really don't want to have to mess with recreating the form in LiveCycle every time I have a tiny little text change.

I feel like this should be easy and I'm just missing something.

Thanks in advance!!

I should add that the text I want to change is NOT in a field.

Again, thanks in advance!!

Doh! Nevermind - I figured it out!!

Once I "Enable User Rights" in the PDF, I can't edit text. If I "Save a Copy" without the "Enable User Rights" I can edit the text. Then "Enable User Rights" with the changes. So many little things to remember!!

Thank you for looking! :-)
