I have created a form in Live Cycle 8.0 and want our customers to fill it out and email back to us. But our email is 370401 [at] fastsigns [dot] com and the submit button will not recognize it. It will my personal email address but not this. How can I get past this final hurdle and be able to use my form?

Hi ktaylor9999,

I think the built-in email validation in LiveCycle Designer is not set to permit only numbers in the first part of your email address. Check out these two tutorials for how to dynamically set it using a script-

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your response. I looked at your attachements, but I do not quite understand. This form we created will be sent to different customers, and we want to create a button on the form that they can click on to return the form to us. But the numerical email address we have is not accepted when we try to make a submit or email button. How can I get Livecycle to accept our email address?

Hi ktaylor9999,

Those articles are about making your own submit button and using a script for the submit action, not using the Submit button automatically created by LiveCycle Designer ( which has its own underlying validation for email addresses.

Hope this helps,
