Need help importing .xml file to form

Hi there,

I'm using Livecycle Designer 8 to design a form. I used a scanned in application (we are a staffing agency) as my background and inserted text fields over it to make an interactive form. We recently had someone design us a .php form that will be on our website and will submit data via a .csv file. The plan is to then take the .csv file and import it into our database, ACT Premium 2009.

I would like to take the original .csv file and then import it into my Livecycle form. I've tried converting the .csv to an .xml file and then using the import feature in the form with no success. I've spent the day researching this and it looks like I need the field names to be the same in the .xml document as they are in the Livecycle form. Is there any way around this? I was looking at using a data connection but am getting really confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer, Windows

Update: So I tried to make a small table to import into the form with only one column and two rows. I made the field name the same as in the the form, "Contact", and entered the value "Paul Ryan" in the next row. Tried to import that and no success. I'm very new to this program and am coming up against a hard deadline here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

the fact is, importing data can become complicated as it works only with Acrobat (Reader only on with an enabled form).
You should read Stefan Cameron's blog. He's an high professional and has a lot of scenarios documented.

You said your working with a database, so you can connect your form to it to import/export data.
You can see, how to setup a database connection here:
