Hi Guys,

i need urgently your help!!! i have no experience with coding in livecycle designer.

I have a dropdown list (case1) which contents "engine1", "engine2" and "engine3" and a second dropdown list (Component).

If i select in "case1" = "engine1" then in "component" should be displayed "Motor" and "burner". then if i select "motor" then should be visible a group "engine1Motor", "engine2Motor", "engine3motor". if i decide to select "burner" after "motor" the group which belongs to Motor should stay visible and a new group should which belongs to burner "engine1burner1", "engine1burner2", "engine1burner3" should be visible.
and if case2 is filled then a new goup "1.ifcase2", "2.ifcase2", "3.ifcase2" should be visible.

and the same thing for case 1 engine 2.

please help me, i am desperate. i tried to do it the same way like in the posting "multiple dropdown menu troubles" from 10/16/2009 it works, but unfortunately i cant make in the second dropdown list several selections, but only one.

Hi DianaL,

Since this is your first post maybe you do not realize questions are answered here on a voluntary basis as people have time. No one is paid here to provide speedy service/support, so please don't be upset if you have to wait a while or if no one has time today to write code for you. Multiple exclamations and pleas for Urgent help are not really appropriate in this setting.

If you need urgent help with a task you do not know how to do, maybe you should post it as a paid job on the Job Board thread.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

I am using Live Cycle Designer within Acrobat 9 to develop a "lesson's Learned" form. All of my end users will only have Reader. They are Army Trainers out in Ft Irwin CA. We are trying to simplify the data collection for them.

Is it possible for me to give them an option to attach files to the PDF I send out with the tracker? Although easy for the end user, the image function does not really work for me because I need to be able to save the picture for further use (inserting into other documents of power point briefs).

Any help greatly appreciated.
