Need to pre populate form from data already on page

Hi all,

I am currently working with a PDF file in Live Cycle Designer and have the form set up with the fields necessary (i.e. date/time format where I need date, text where I need text, check boxes where I need check boxes, etc.)

The form is actually two copies of one form on the same page, and the information needs to be duplicated when I put it in the top portion to appear in the bottom portion (i.e. Serial number needs to match with serial number, caliber needs to match with caliber, address needs to match with address, etc)

My problem now is that I need to use the top portion of the form as my source for pre-populating the bottom portion of the form, and I am not sure how to do that. The help options keep pointing me to XML and external databases.

Any suggestions??

Easiest method is to create to fields with identical names and set the binding to "global".
So if one field gets a new value the other one is updated with this value automatically.
