I have made an order form based on an Excel spreadsheet in InDesign, exported to a PDF and opened in LiveCycle and have added fields for the user to fill in, with the intent that the form will calculate amounts and totals. It is a two page form, but the total at the bottom of the second page does not recognize anything user entered on the first page although the calculated result appears on the first page.
I am wondering if this is because of how the form was created, there is no Master Page, and no subforms listed in the heirarchy.
The next problem I am having is two functions that are variable for which I have used radio buttons.
The first is shipping Yes or shipping No, if Yes, then shipping charges are calculated according to an if/then formula, there are fourdifferent shipping fees: 6, 10, 15, 20 based on the subtotal of the items ordered.
The next set of radio buttons is credit card Yes or credit card No, there is a 5% surcharge for paying with a credit card added to the item subtotal plus shipping
I would like the amounts for the fees for shipping and credit card to be automatically calculated but for the life of me I cannot figure out what formula to use. I have been using formCalc on this form because I know absolutely nothing about JavaScript.
I hope someone can help me with this, even if it means I have to go back and recreate the form in Designer instead of using the PDF.

How LiveCycle Designer forms are set up ( the hierarchical structure) is very important. There are some great on-demand e-seminars available here at AUC that go over this and you should definitely spend a couple hours watching them before proceeding with your form deisgn. You can do everything you mention- it is just a matter of practice and study.

Look for the ones with LiveCycle Designer in the title
Hope this helps,
