New to Livecycle... dataset export to excel/openoffice with images?

I am having trouble exporting to .csv from a dataset containing forms with images. When opening the .csv (excel/openoffice spreadsheet), the images are converted into an enormous amount of text, overwhelming the sheet, and making it impossible to read. What are my options for exporting these forms without the images, or to translate the images to the spreadsheet program without this problem?

I'd prefer that the images not be displayed on the exported file, but I can't seem to disable them.
