Hi all,

Ok so I just Adobe LiveCycle Designer on Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 to make a new form with no security on it. So pretty much the PDF is wide open to users to do what ever they want to it. But once I save it and try to open it using Acrobat reader on click an a area to type in info I get a message that tells me “Please Note: You cannot save a completed copy of this form on your computer. If you would like a copy for your records, please fill it in and print it.”

So my question is why is this happing when I left the PDF with no security.

If you check you do not get this message with Acrobat, as Acrobat can save modified PDFs.

As the product name Reader implies, this program can only Read. This means no comments, no saving of data, no modifying of the PDF. Now for a PDF that has had special rights extended to the PDF, it is possible for Reader to save a copy of the form, but that is the form has had specaial rights extended to the form.
