pdf size too large

Hi all,
this is an issue that I've been struggling with: I generate an interactive pdf form (with Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8) which usually was about 300-400KB large. On the same system customer made some configuration adjustments that suddenly made the generated file grow up to 7MB. I've got no clue where to look for solution, so I'd be really grateful if someone could give me a hint.

I assume you've already did this:

Choose Document > Reduce File Size.
Select the version compatibility that you need, and click OK.
If you’re certain that all your users use Acrobat 8 or Adobe Reader 8, limiting compatibility to the latest version can further reduce file size.

If you want to control changes and quality trade-offs, use PDF Optimizer, which makes more options available.

If you have and still have this problem, read this two Adobe articles:

From what I understand, and my experience so far, I don't believe you can use "Reduce File Size" or the PDF Optimizer with an interactive PDF form built in LiveCycle Designer. Are there any other ideas? I have the same problem as watson23. I was able to reduce the initial file size from 1MB to 200kB by unchecking "Embed fonts" in the Save As dialog of LiveCycle Designer, but the file size grows when you start saving data in the form with Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
