Physically moving text and fields when an expanding text box grows?

I am new to this software and have not seen information on this question;
I have a form that has multi-line text boxes that sometimes need to be filled in. The form is only one page long by default, and there is only space for one line of responce between each question. If someone answers a question on this form as "NO" they must then fill in a reason under that question. The problem is when this box expands down, after the first line, it goes over top of the next question. I call what I need as "floating" (this term is used in a foxpro application) I need all the information below this expanding text box to move down when necessary. I do not want a several page form just to allow a lot of extra room for typing when it is not always necessary. Does anyone know how to do this in Livecycle? I have Acrobat 9 pro extended. (and livecycle that in inside this software)

Thanks; John

Hi West_Racing,

you place the field which is expanding into one subform to do this,
1. select the text field and right click
2. select wrap in subform
then
3. select the subform created rename to some name and go to Object Pallete of this subform
4. In Object pallete, Subform Tab select the Content as "Flowed".

by doing this when the text field is expanded as data grows as it is in subform which is flowed the subform also grows and thus restricting not to overlap on the below fields.

please try and let me know the result if this is helpful.

Thanks,
Madhu.

Thanks,

It did work. I had to group all my 12 questions and reply boxes into the main (1st) subform (flowed). Then my questions had radio button choices. Only one choice would show the text field that needed to be filled out. This was only shown as one line, but is where I needed the expansion room. I had to group the radio buttons, text question and the text field into their own subforms(positioned).

The issue I finally figured out was the spacing of my original questions. Because I already had created the document without using subforms there was space between the questions. This did not work for some reason. Once I grouped my questions in their own subforms, AND took out the space between them! it works great.

Maybe this will help some other green people like me. : )

Thank You; John
