prevent editing in live cycle designer

In the "Intro to Forms" eSeminar, Lori made all of her changes directly in Abode, and even though I have gone to view>toolbars>more tools>and selected all of the items under forms, I still get sent to Live Cycle Designer automatically when I click edit form on the forms toolbar. Can anyone help? Do I need to uninstall Adobe 8 and then reinstall without Live Cylce, is this even possible?

No, you need to go through the Acrobat menu bar and display the "Forms Tool".

Hi eca08fcsi,

Did you create the form in question in LiveCycle Designer first? If you did, that is why LCD is opening when you click edit form, because what you have is an XFA form, not an AcroForm. If you start fresh with a PDF in Acrobat and use the form tools in Acrobat to create your form, this won't happen.

Hope that helps,
