Hi all! Long time reader first time poster :) I have been using LiveCycle 8.2 for a few months now making all kind of forms for my work but I'm having a problem with my boss' latest request. I have a 24 month calendar set up with check boxes for everyday (the check boxes are to count the amount of days we send technicians to overseas countries) The form is just how I want it I just need a text field somewhere that has a running count of boxes check. Is this even possible?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible but will require a bit of scripting.

I have a couple of examples that may help you.

The first example is probably closest to what you are looking for:
http://www.assuredynamics.com/index.php/category/portfolio/tracking-interaction/

This example keeps track of the number of checkboxes ticked, but only allows a max of two to be ticked at any one time:
http://www.assuredynamics.com/index.php/category/portfolio/limiting-the-number-of-checkboxes-that-can-be-ticked/

The next example scores radio buttons, etc. While the application is slightly different the approach should give you a direction:
http://www.assuredynamics.com/index.php/category/portfolio/scoring-three-options/

The title "scoring three options" refers to keeping track of Yes, No and N/A in the score and total fields.

Good luck!

Hope this helps,

Niall
