I created a from in LiveCycle and wanted the people filling it out to be able to save a copy of it from reader. I could not figure out how to save it so they could do this. I found somewhat of a answer, I opened it up in acrobat and was able the select the option to save the form from reader. When I go to open it back up in LiveCycle it says that some of the options added to it will be lost if I open it. Is there an easier way to work with this. Anyone who opens it to use the form will only have reader 9. This is the first time working in adobe and reading some of the other post have really helped. Hoping someone will have an answer for this one.

Thanks

Hi bmelby,

After you apply Usage Rights for Adobe Reader so end users can fill and save the from data, most any changes you make to the form will nullify the Reader Rights. So if you do open the form in LiveCycle Designer, once you are done with any editing/changes you just have to reapply the Usage Rights and save.

Hope this helps,

OK, but do I still have to go into acrobat to apply the rights or is there somewhere to do it in LiveCycle.

Thanks

Hi bmelby,

If when you first designed your form you used the distribute form feature of LiveCycle Designer, the Reader USage Rights get applied automatically (but what really happens is under the covers Acrobat is opened and the Rights are applied without you seeing that is what happens). If you are not using that feature in LiveCycle Designer, then Yes you will need to open the form in Acrobat and apply the Rights there. Same same but different.

Hope this helps,

I have another question but it is not related to saving, sorry but I am hoping you will still be able and willing to help. I know when I first created my form and was testing it that when I was filling in the comments sections on my form the font automaitcally shrank to fit. Now when you type it won't shrink and I have several comments sections througout the form so it is hard to make each section bigger. If there is a way to make the font shrink that would be great or if the whole form can be flowable. I am have live cycle and acrobat p.

Thank you so much!
