We are using a form created in LiveCycle that is stored on a shared folder where numerous people are responsible for entering various fields. Sometimes an error message will come up stating that the form has been changed from its original and to contact the creator. Why is this happening and how do I prevent it? Security is set to not allow changes other than filling in form fields and it is reader enabled.

Once a form is enabled, only certain operations are allowed, i.e., those operations for which it's enabled. Anything else invalidates the document. Even applying security can do this. There is a certain sequence that has to be followed. First you apply security, without saving, then you apply rights.

But there is another problem. The Rights Enabling is far from perfect. For example, if you have a document script that changes the border color on a field, this will invalidate the Enabling. I do this all the time to indicate fields that need to be filled out with valid info. These documents can't be Rights Enabled. If you have anything like this in the form then you can't Rights Enable it.
