Still no data importing on fillable forms

I have Acrobat Pro 7/Designer with student licensing. I have received one reply but the suggestions had already been tried to no avail. Let's narrow the problem to the Word document imported to Designer. It is converting to a fillable form beautifully. It is emailing out and being received as a fillable form. Data can be entered on the receiving end,and it is being emailed back, arriving as an XML file. However, the XML data is not populating to the form, and is possibly not even in the data return. The only thing that imports to a spread sheet is the field names, no filled data. Nothing at all populates to the original form. I have run several tests from differing locations: no data is importing. Does anyone know if this could be a student licensing problem? Should I try to re-install the program? Thanks for any help.

Hi melanie,

I'm sure your issue doesn't have anything to do with student licensing. It probably has to do with how you're importing the XML file. Are you using the Initiate Data File Collection Workflow feature in Acrobat 7 to send/receive the form and data? Can you provide more background on what commands you use in Acrobat to send/receive the data?

Keep us posted,
Lori

Thanks so much for replying, Lori! I have some new information (probably critical). When I hit the send button from Initiate Date File Collections I get a Managed MAPI Service Catastrophic Failure error message. I have ignored it because the emails send and I get replies, but now I think this must be the culprit for not receiving any data. I have been unable to find a connection online between this error message and Adobe fillable forms. Can you help? I have Outlook 2003, and basic Symantec AntiVirus (but not Anti-Spam). I have searched for an answer in these areas to no avail, but I now think there is a connection. Bless you for any insight!

I definitely think your Managed MAPI Service Catastrphic Failure error has something to do with this. I searched the Microsoft website and found the following information thread:
http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2102916&SiteID=17It appears that other users who receive this message also don't receive data files.

You might try the suggestion outlined in the thread.

Hope this helps,
Lori
