I follow the instructions creating a form in LiveCycle with an http button and an e-mail address. Once on the server and I test it I find that the print button activates OK however when I select Submit - it it doesn't react at all or e-mail the form.

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer, Windows

What is the exact email URL you are using? Are there any errors reported in the console window?

Thank you Thom for replying:
This is what I've done so far:
1. I created test file from template in LiveCycle
2. I added a Submit Button and a Print Button
3. I used my e-mail address as a return address
4. I finish the form -- and add another submit button in Standard Tab -- HTTP e-mail
for the return address I write: mailto:my e-mail address
5. I finish form & close then open in Acrobat to distribute
6. I distribute for later using my e-mail address as a return.
7. I upload to server -- Print Button works fine -- neither submit button does anything.
I'm on the 15 version of this test file -- I've made them every which way - with one submit button
each of the two kinds . I've sent it up without distribute. It has never worked.
I called the hosting Company - they use an older version of Acrobat and works OK - They had no time to help me.

What could I posible be missing?
Thanks

When you are having a problem, the best way to approach figuring it out is to break it down to the simplest possible operations, and then test those operations individually.

So here's what you do. Open Acrobat and Open any file, any file at all. On the "File" toolbar and on the "File" menu, there is an option for "attach to email". Select this option. It should popup your email client with the PDF attached to it.

If it does this, then you're email works. Now, open your test file (not the file on the server, but the local file) in Acrobat and press the submit button. What happens? Look in the Console window and see if any errors are reported.

You nailed it. I work and test on 2 desktop computers. Both computer e-mail programs did not respond. However my laptop did, and the form on the server did as well. Thanks for the solution.
