It seems like there are a lot of questions regarding this topic.

I've created a form in L.C. and a Submit by Email button. When I open up the PDF I can click the Submit by email button and it brings up my outlook and sends the form just fine. When other people open the form and hit the Submit by Email button, nothing happens.

any help? I've changed the submit format="xml" to pdf

thanks,

Hi,

hard to answer, maybe the installed mail app is not supportet by Acrobat/Reader or it does not use MAPI or ... ?
Fact is: If the form works on your system, it's not a problem of the button or form, it's more a problem of the system setup of your users.

Check the help, to see what you can do.

I just figured out, that if you use Windows Vista/7 and Windows Live Mail or ThunderBird as default mail app Acrobat/Reader always creates a Raise Error (reported in the console) when you use the mail button in the form.
That's because in Windows 7 there is no MAPI installed on the OS from default.
You can fix this, if install Outlook from an old Office 2000/2003 CD.
Then you can select the Outlook Messaging Components that contain the MAPI services.
