Text alignment in text field

I have set up a text field with the multiple line option selected and I have also dragged out the size of the Message Box to approx 4 inches deep just like the ones here on this forum.

When the person filling the form in begins to fill it in however the cursor is in the middle of the form field. How can I get it to behave just like the ones on this forum where the cursor is at the top of the form field and the input text neatly wraps down the field as you type?

With the text field selected, select Layout > Align > and then select the alignment direction (left/center/right).
If you make the text field one line high you can also avoid this problem.

That option is greyed out for me.

I ran into this same issue.

Open the Window menu and select Paragraph. The Paragraph paletted should appear on the right-hand side of the screen. From there, you will be able to change both the vertical and horizontal alignment, as well as indentations and spacing for the text field.
