Transparent colored popup box on opening form

I've been searching through the posts here and haven’t been able to find anything to ‘fit the bill’.

I am trying to have a popup, centered on the viewing screen perhaps with a 50% transparent colored background to give a few lines of written advice on how to complete the form. The popup should appear when first opening the form and once cancelled will reappear every time the form is opened.

Anyone?

...just when you think you have it idiot proof ...along comes a bigger idiot

Hi QWertyKid,

You can have an alert box popup when a LiveCycle Designer PDF is opened, but with the built-in alert message you cannot control appearance properties. Here is a thread I found using the search feature here-
http://acrobatusers.com/forum/forms-livecycle-designer/display-message-when-pdf-form-opened

If you need something more customized than the built-in message boxes you can design your own custom full-featured dialog boxes, but it is a heavy-duty scripting task. If you are interested in that, check out my company's tool AcroDialogs and the examples of what can be done with them.Hope this helps,
