Hello all, pretty new to this but have gotten pretty far in converting some of our corporate documents. They want to be able to save the document and sign but not allow any mark up of the static text. Looking all around and cannot find how to facilitate this request.

Can anyone assist?

To apply individual "Reader Enabling" Rights you have to have the LiveCycle Rights Server. The rights provided "free" by Acrobat can't be individually controled.

Hi, I know this is a very late answer, but just incase someone else is having this issues...

In LiveCycle I went to File/Form Properties and clicked on the PDF Security Tab. Then checked "Use a password to restrict printing and editing of the document and its security settings." Set your option for printing and for "Changes Allowed" select "Filling in Form Fields and Signing" Click OK, save file, distribute form or open in Acrobat Pro and Extend Features for Adobe Reader and viola! a form that the user can fill out, save, and print but cannot markup.

Hope this helps someone!!

If the form is a dynamic PDF (XFA-form) Acrobat generally dows not apply rights for commenting.
Those rights are only available for static PDF forms.
