why is my add instance button disabled?

I have 2 subform's initially hidden. 1 subform has an addInsance button. So when both those subform's are visible from an event i click the addinstance button, the event is not working. when the subform is initially visible, it works fine so why is it disabled? what do I need to do to get the button click event to work properly. Hope this makes sense.

Rather hard to tell what is going on with out seeing the form and how it is set up. Have you saved the form to be a dynamic form?
