XFA Forms

Hi All,

I'm working on a Performance Management project, were PDF files are created for each company unit.

Each PDF file contains appraisal forms of all staff in that unit.

The challenges are:

1- Populate a Live Cycle form (template) with employee data from our DB.
2- Pack all individual forms in one PDF file (per unit) -> (XFA pdf page manipulation).

I have looked at various solutions like InfoPath; however, I trust that only pdf provides a standalone implantation of forms.

I've gone through various resources but info is scratched and is not combined in an easy way.

Please guide me in my project.

If you are looking to pre-populate PDF forms with data and then assemble them into a package you could accomplish this using Adobe LiveCycle Forms ES.

What kind of volume of forms and packages are you looking at?

Hi lsutton,

The project is composed of 3 steps:

1- Populate forms with data from our DB
2- Line Managers fill the forms for their staff and save the forms (Enable User Rights)
3- Extract Performance Rates and Training Needs (into Excel for example)

The volume is expected to be around 700 employees.

I'd to clarify if it is possible to perform the following operations on XFA:
1- Page manipulation (combining documents and adding pages)
2- Run batch processes (for data extraction and form auto-filling)

Best Regards
