I use Acrobat 5.0 and have Acrobat reader 9 installed but I can't get web PDF's to open in the 9 viewer, any ideas?? 5.0 grumbles about needing a newer version to view online PDF's so I D/L'd 9

I have tried to associate all PDF type files with 9 reader but the 5.0 still opens and complains, but won't open the file.

I use 5.0 to create and edit PDF's and wanted to use 9 viewer for online PDF viewing but can't get it to work, please help...

Was OS are you using?

On Windows, multiple Adobe PDF viewers are not recommended and not supported. Folks report all sorts of problems with like configurations. I'd imagine such dissimilar versions would be the most troublesome.

A number of alternatives to Acrobat exist. Price varies. Those that provide equivalent or near equivalent functionality to Acrobat Professional won't be cheap. However, with some research you may well find something that is a good fit for your unique needs.
Start with a search on "pdf software" and see where it leads.

Be well...
