How can I get acrobat 9 back on laptop? I upgraded to Acrobat X and now it is gone.

If you upgrade, that's what it does - it replaces the old version with the new one. To revert to Acrobat 9 you must uninstall Acrobat X and reinstall Acrobat 9 from your original media. You *cannot* run both at the same time.
