Acrobat Pro X Freezes

GDay All,

Whenever I open a large document and attempt to scroll through it, to get to relevant information, Acrobat Pro X will freeze and the program remains unresponsive until I force it to close.

There is no error message, it just stops dead!

This occurs time and time again and I am unable to read or work on the document.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening.

It doesn't happen with all large files, only some. I have tried saving to compressed, uncompressed and any other format I can, but the problem persists.

Help!

Version is 10.0.3

Regards
Andy M

Just a thought — if the PDF's content is graphics heavy it puts a load on the graphics device. Yours may be stumbling.
.

Be well...

daka630, thanks for the reply. I have had graphics issues before with Autodesk Inventor, but I got those sorted. I'm running dual HD4870 cards in crossfire mode.

There shouldn't be any problems there, but if there is a problem with the graphics, what can I do to test or confirm it?

Any ideas?
