My pc will not read pdf files.I was going to delete Acrobat and reader and do a reinstall.I deleted all in add/remove programs and install of new programs stops with error message.The error I get when trying to read pdf is (Adobe acrobat/reader that is running cannot be used to view pdf files,Versiob 8 or 9 is needed).
There is no adobe software listed in add/remove programs.
I have ran checkdisc and all is well.
Pc running good..no virus,spyware or malware.
Pc running Xp pro.
You can try Microsoft's Cleaner Utility and then try to install Acrobat/Reader.
