Is there a senior Adobe employee in the house please?

I am considering buying Professional 8 for its advanced Form capabilities but would like to know why in the UK the price is MORE THAN double the US price, even for a download. Why?

The arguments that the bloated price is to cover the extra costs of marketing in Europe is nonsense. Quark applied this argument too and nobody believed them either.
And are UK users locked out of USA deals too like Quark did?
I could afford to get anybody in the US to Airmail me a copy and charge $200 for the privilige (plus the cost of the software) and I would still be $200 better off than buying a copy in the UK.

I hope somebody reads this before it gets pulled!

There several reasons why there are pricing differences between US and European versions of the products. A few that come to mind are compliance with export laws, localization costs, copyright infringement, governing law. All these things are different for each country and necessary for long-term stability and use of the product.
