Acrobat X PDF Printer - Files Stranded in Print Queue

When I use the PDF Printer (Acro X Pro, Windows 7 Home Premium x64), the PDF files are created with no problem at all, everything works as expected. However, I've noticed that every print job is left stranded in the print queue.

If I open up the Adobe PDF Printer device's queue, I can see all the PDF Print jobs I've run, with the first one showing an "error" status, and the rest waiting in the queue. I can delete them, and as soon as I print to PDF a new entry is stranded in the queue.

These entries don't seem to prevent additional PDFs from being created, but every entry is added to the queue.

This has the vague scent of a permissions issue, where something might need administrator privileges to run properly.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

It's possible that Distiller's port has been corrupted, which will annoy the Windows print spooler but doesn't bother Distiller itself.

Thanks very much, that was indeed the problem! (In short, Acrobat's PDF printer gets rerouted to the COM1: port by mistake, and deleting the printer, followed by repairing the Acrobat installation resolved it)

I appreciate the help!
