Adding the registration trademark "®" to header

Is there a way to add the special character ® to a custom header in Acrobat 8 Pro? In the Header and Footer dialog box I can add it to the text field; however, it does not appear in the preview section.

I've tried the Alt+0174 method. I've tried changing the font name in the Header and Footer dialog to Arial Unicode and then copying the glyph from Illustrator and pasting it into the Header Text field - neither works.

I could really use a solution for this issue - I'm sure this problem applies to all special characters.

I have had no problem using the Character Map application in Windows to cut an paste the special characters and also using the "Alt" with the numbers from the numeric keypad.

Hold down the 'Alt" key and while being held down enter the numbers using the numeric keypad and then release the 'Alt' key. The special character should now appear.

Note the character must be part of the selected font.

Thanks for the reply George - one some of our systems with Acrobat 8 that works, on others it does not, and yet they are all set up the same.
