Adobe 8 Reader error after "Reading untagged document window" pops up

I upgraded from Reader 7 to Reader 8. I can open documents on my computer, but am unable to open documenets with Internet Explorer. When I do, I can see the document for a second, but then the "Reading untagged document window" pops up and then an error window after that, and after I report the error it closes the "Reading untagged" window and the screen is blank.

I'm assuming it might have to do with the internet settings. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times, but that didn't work.
