I have a problem with an application that does not recognise adobe 9 pdfs. I have hundreds of documents created using Adobe 9. Is there an easy way of back saving in adobe 9 to save re-create these documents as adobe 6 pdfs?

With Acrobat Pro you could use the PDF Optimizer to make the PDF files compatible with PDF version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x).

However, doing so will result in the loss of any features that are specific to newer PDF versions.

Thanks, I'll try that for a couple of documents and see what functionality I lose and whether I can live with the loss
