I have a user who deleted all her pdf files and emptied the recycle in. I used a standard recovery program to "restore" as many as i could. You guessed it, NONE of them will open. Gives standard file is damaged and could not be repaired message. I found a repair program on the web (pdf tools) and whats real strange it that it gives me the same errors on each file it attempts to repair, basically saying all starting point and ending lines/points are missing, trailer dictionary is missing and page doesnt exist. Each file the same thing. So im thinking maybe just this program isnt compatible with 7.0 Pro. I have checked file sizes, they are not corrupt and size of files seems to "range".Than she actaully dropped this little bombshell on me, she didnt "create" this files, these files were scanned on a copier that converted the hard copy to a pdf file for transfer to her desktop.

Anyone have any clues or suggestions on what, if anything, i might be able to purchase to repair these files??

Acrobat Pro 7.0, Windows

No; but Acrobat is fussy about opening files that don't meet it's standards. Might be worth seeing if an OCR program will open them (Finereader or ReadIris for example).
