Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard vs. Professional

I currently have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. I've recently noticed that if I need to alter a document that was initially in word form, I can not change it directly in Adobe. Nor do I have the option to correct in word and simply insert that page and delete the existing one. Can I not do that with Standard? Do I need to have the Professional to do it?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.0

The Professional version of Acrobat has the Touch Up tool, which allows you to change text within a PDF. However, you should be able to insert and delete pages within Acrobat Std. It's possible that you're creating your PDFs from Word using the PDF/A setting. If so, then when you attempt to insert and delete pages in Acrobat Standard you won't be able to unless you change the Edit > Preferences > Documents category "View documents in PDF/A mode: Never selected from the pulldown. Also, if you do not need to create PDFs from Word that conform to the PDF/A standard make sure you uncheck the "Create PDF/A-1a:2005 compliant file" from the PDFMaker macro in Word.
