Arranging page in Reverse Order

I work for Publishing Company in UAE. Sometime we have to print a book which have both languages english as well as arabic. When we receive files from client for arabic it starts from pg1 and finishes 50 (For Example). but we need to change the pagination squence from 1-50 to 50-1 in order to get correct opening for arabic side. Arabic book opens from right to left. For re-arranging the pages from 1-50 I have to manually shift each page to its end in order to get reverse order. Is there as option through which I can change the pagination of the document in faster way. What i want is just to shuffle my page from 1-50 to 50-1 in faster way.
Plz suggest.

Thanks

Hannan

Open the Print dialog box and you'll find a checkbox for Reverse Pages. Check the box and your file prints pages 50-1.

Is there a quick way to reverse the page order of a PDF other than printing it. We need the PDF saved in reverse order.

Hi sthomp,

If you have Acrobat X you could try the custom Action from the Actions Exchange on this site titled "Reverse Page Order"

Hope this helps,

There are a few javascript options also listed in this forum that you may try... (not sure if they work for A7P on Mac, though)

BookofRadeluxe,

Check the link I posted yesterday - there is a link to a javascript file (posted by GQDiaz) that you can place on your hard drive which will enable one-click page reversal without printing. The author also listed the actual code, although you may need to alter the javascript file because the one I downloaded from his site wasn't quite correct. When I edited it and pasted in the actual code listed in the forum, it worked fine. (I can't remember if that code came from his posting or the later one in the forum posted by claidheamdanns.)

Best of luck!

While the print in reverse order command posted earlier gets the job done, it is more useful for actual printing but somewhat time consuming when printing using the Adobe PDF printer.

The custom action should be much more suited to simply reversing the PDF document. I have created two new Action Wizard Actions using your suggestion, but neither one does anything when selected.

I have searched and searched for the printed instructions to create this action but have found none. It is obvious that I am not correctly creating the action. Can you direct me to the printed instructions.
