I resently reinstalled Acrobat 8 and now when I open Acrobat 8 two emty gray windows with ArtUI at the top open as well. On my previous install that never happened. If I close ArtUI it also closes Acrobat. I can work with them open but they are anoying. What do I need to turn off ArtUI?

I am getting the same problem as Lanny, but I didn't start to ge this problem until I installed Enfocus PitStop. Any advice on how to get rid of this?

Even me am using acrobat pro that is 9, so the problem is pitstops 7 and the lower version are not well compatible with acrobat 8 and 7 wat i did is to buy pitstops 9 but it works fine so there is no any option than getting newer version

Did you also install any third party plug-ins since the last installation that did not show this problem? I remember seeing something about this a while ago and the ArtUI and grey screens were due to plugins incompatible with the newer version of Acrobat. If that is not the case, then I'm not sure what is causing this.
