Device: Canon PIXMA MP750/780
Version: 9.0 Pro
Problem: Automatic Document Feeder for Scanning Multiple Pages

I can't seem to find a way to scan multiple papers into one PDF file from the automatic document feeder without it prompting for new pages and having to go through the whole process as in the first page. I dont see the point of the document feeder if I cant just click scan and have it automatically scan every paper in there and then make it into a PDF. I seem to have remembered it doing this before, but now I cant find any settings for it.

Thanks.

I have the same exact problem and can't find the setting to fix this. When my MP780 was plugged into my desktop with XP I could scan multilple pages from the document feeder without the prompt between each page. Now that it's hooked to my Vista laptop it prompts between every page ... it's a major pain.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just downloaded the latest drivers for the MP780 from the Canon USA website and installed them (removing the original driver that came on the product CD) and that seems to have fixed my problem with scanning multiple pages from the document feeder without prompts between each page in Acrobat 8.

I believe that before I updated the drivers all that Adobe had for importing from the scanner was the WIA connection to the scanner, which is why I couldn't hide the scanners native interface. After installing the newer driver version, I've got more options in the scanner dialog and it was pretty simple to once again scan multiple pages from the ADF without being prompted between each page.

Hope this helps someone down the road.
