Automatically Expand Bookmarks

Hi,

I currently have a bookmark hierarchy that contains 4 levels. The first two levels are expanded by default but the others are closed. Is there any way to automatically expand the bookmarks for a certain level when clicked?

For example, I have:

Level 1
Level 2
Level 2
Level 3
Level 4
Level 4
Level 3
Level 3
Level 2

I would like to click on a bookmark for level 3 and have it automatically expand to show all bookmarks in the level below. The bookmarks are links to other PDF documents.

I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Would either of these deliver what you need?
In the Bookmark panel, click on the "+" at the left of the Level 3 bookmark.
Or, select "Expand Current Bookmark" for the Options drop down after selecting the Level 3 bookmark.

Well, not exactly. I know about those options.

I used evermap to create the bookmark hierarchy. By default, levels beyond 2 are set to be closed. If level 2 has a bookmark under it, when you click on the bookmark, it remains closed, until you do expand the bookmarks manually--by using the "+" symbol or by using the option to expand bookmarks.

What I'm looking to do is find a way, that when the level 2 is clicked, it automatically shows a level 3--the user won't have to use the "+" symbol or the expand bookmarks option.

The only solution that I have been able to find is to create a copy of the document, expand the bookmarks to look as such, and copy the bookmarks to the copy of the document. That works for a small set of documents, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do it.
